Ambassadors Program Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 16 September 2026

1. Purpose of the Program

The AVALW Ambassadors Program (the "Program") is an optional initiative through which registered users of the avalw.com platform may receive financial rewards for bringing new visitors to articles published on the platform by sharing them on social networks and other channels. Participation in the Program constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of this document, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

  1. "Participant" or "Ambassador": any user holding a valid reader account on avalw.com who shares articles using their personal link.
  2. "Share point": a valid visit, attributed to a Participant, generated by a new visitor who accesses an article through that Participant's personal link.
  3. "Qualification threshold": the minimum number of points required to enter the monthly competition, set at 1,000 points.
  4. "Season": the one calendar month period during which the leaderboard is measured and at the end of which prizes are awarded.
  5. "Referral code": the unique identifier associated with each account and automatically included in sharing links.

3. Eligibility

  1. Participation is open to any individual who holds a valid and active reader account on avalw.com.
  2. The Participant must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
  3. Creator accounts, test accounts, automated accounts, and accounts operated by AVALW are not eligible for prizes.
  4. A Participant may hold and use only one account within the Program. Holding or using multiple accounts for the purpose of accumulating points constitutes a breach of these Terms.

4. How Points Are Earned

  1. Each reader account receives a unique referral code.
  2. When the Participant is logged in and shares an article using the Share button, the system generates a link that contains their referral code.
  3. A point is attributed when a new visitor accesses the article through that link.
  4. The number of sharing actions does not, in itself, affect the score. Only the number of new and unique visitors actually brought to the content is counted.

5. Validation of Points

  1. Only unique visitors are counted. Each visitor is identified through a technical value derived from the IP address, the user agent, and the accessed article. Repeated visits by the same person to the same article are counted only once.
  2. Visits generated by the Participant to their own link are not counted.
  3. AVALW reserves the right not to count, or to cancel, any point that it has reasonable grounds to believe does not originate from a genuine, authentic human visitor.

6. Qualification Threshold

  1. A Participant enters the monthly competition only after accumulating at least 1,000 valid points, calculated cumulatively.
  2. Reaching the threshold grants qualified Ambassador status but does not, in itself, guarantee any prize.
  3. AVALW may adjust the qualification threshold for future seasons, subject to prior notice to Participants.

7. Monthly Leaderboard and Tie-Breaking

  1. In each season, qualified Ambassadors are ranked according to the number of valid points accumulated during that season.
  2. In the event of a tie, the higher position is awarded to the Participant who reached the score first, based on the time recorded by the system.
  3. The leaderboard resets at the beginning of each season.

8. Prizes

  1. At the end of each season, the top three Ambassadors on the leaderboard receive cash prizes as follows: first place 100 US dollars, second place 50 US dollars, third place 25 US dollars.
  2. The first place Ambassador additionally receives a prestige visual distinction on their public profile, which has no monetary value and may be withdrawn in the event of disqualification.
  3. Prizes are non transferable and may not be exchanged for other goods or services, except where decided by AVALW.

9. Payment of Prizes

  1. Prizes are awarded only after final validation of the leaderboard, within a period of up to 30 days from the close of the season.
  2. To receive a prize, the winner must provide valid and complete payment details upon request by AVALW, and must confirm their identity if required.
  3. Payment is made through the electronic method indicated by AVALW, such as bank transfer or electronic wallet.
  4. If a winner does not provide the required details within a reasonable period communicated by AVALW, the right to the prize is forfeited.
  5. Any tax obligations arising from receiving prizes rest solely with the winner, in accordance with the legislation applicable in their jurisdiction.

10. Prohibited Conduct and Fraud Prevention

Any attempt to manipulate, inflate, or falsify points is strictly prohibited. The following constitute breaches of these Terms, without limitation:

  1. using bots, scripts, automated services, or click farms to generate visits;
  2. using anonymization networks, proxy servers, or multiple IP addresses in order to simulate different visitors;
  3. placing links in spam locations, hidden windows, forced redirects, or misleading advertisements;
  4. coordinating among several users to exchange clicks reciprocally;
  5. any other method intended to generate traffic that does not stem from the genuine interest of real readers.

11. Disqualification and Sanctions

  1. AVALW may investigate any suspicious activity and may temporarily suspend points that are under review.
  2. Where a breach is found, AVALW may cancel the affected points, disqualify the Participant from the current and future seasons, withdraw prizes already awarded, and suspend or close the account.
  3. AVALW decisions regarding the validity of points and disqualification are final.

12. Changes to and Termination of the Program

  1. AVALW may at any time modify the mechanism, thresholds, prize values, cadence, or any other component of the Program, with prior notice where reasonably possible.
  2. AVALW may suspend or terminate the Program at any time. Seasons duly completed before termination will be honored in accordance with these Terms.

13. Data Protection

  1. For the operation of the Program, AVALW processes a minimal amount of technical data, such as a value derived from the IP address and the user agent, used solely to identify unique visitors and to prevent fraud.
  2. This data does not build a commercial profile and is handled in accordance with the platform privacy policy.

14. Limitation of Liability

  1. The Program is provided on an "as is" basis. AVALW does not guarantee its uninterrupted availability and is not liable for technical errors, delays, or loss of points caused by factors beyond its reasonable control.
  2. Participation in the Program does not create any employment, agency, or commercial partnership relationship between the Participant and AVALW.

15. Operator, Governing Law and Contact
