Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of central London on 16 May to attend a march organised by British far-right activist Tommy Robinson, in one of the largest far-right gatherings in recent UK history.

The British government banned at least 11 individuals from entering the UK, including multiple figures linked to Europe far-right movement and a sitting MEP. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the bans aimed to prevent far-right agitators from entering the country.

Among those banned was Catalan activist Ada Luck, described as a supporter of remigration, a policy calling for the mass forced removal of immigrants. Flemish MP Philip De Winter, who stated the word racist was no longer an insult but a title of honour, was also barred.

The march has reignited debate about the balance between free speech and public safety in the UK, with the government decision framed by some as political censorship while others praised it as necessary protection against extremism.
