The torrential rain was enough to bring down multiple trees around New York's five boroughs, ABC News reported, including one that crushed a car. The network's coverage showed the toll the downpours took across the city.
One person was hurt after a tree fell on a commuter train on New York's Long Island, according to ABC News. A tree also came down on a Greyhound bus on Interstate 95 in Westport, Connecticut, though the network reported only a few minor injuries.
