Two people were left in critical condition after a stabbing in Seattle's Chinatown International District. Both victims were rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, as authorities responded to the scene of the attack.

According to Seattle fire officials, the stabbing happened just before 7 o'clock in the evening. The attack took place near the intersection of 10th Avenue South and South Weller Street, in the heart of the city's International District.

The two people who were wounded in the attack were a 30-year-old and a 35-year-old. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center, where they were being treated for injuries described as life-threatening.

In the immediate aftermath, Seattle police launched a search for a suspect in the stabbing. Officers were assisted in that effort by deputies from King County, as they worked to track down whoever was responsible for the attack.

So far, however, investigators have not located anyone in connection with the case. The suspect remained at large as the search continued in and around the area where the stabbing occurred.

Detectives with the Homicide and Assault Unit have since taken over the investigation. As the inquiry got underway, authorities had not released further details about the circumstances of the attack or a description of the person being sought.
