Police in the Bronx are searching for a gunman after a shooting that wounded two men on Thursday evening, according to News 12. Investigators are now asking the community to keep their eyes peeled as they work to track down the person responsible.
The gunfire broke out just after 6 o'clock on Boston Road and East Tremont Avenue. Surveillance video obtained by the station showed a chaotic scene, with multiple people running for their lives as the shots rang out and some neighbors left standing around in disbelief at what they had witnessed.
The two victims were a 20-year-old man and a 31-year-old man. Police say one of them was hit in the leg and the other in the backside. Both were taken to a local hospital, where they are recovering and are expected to be okay.
In the aftermath, police closed off the area for hours. The scene sat just steps from the West Farms Square and East Tremont Avenue subway station, as officers worked to find any clues that could offer insight into what led up to the attack.
As the search continues, police say the gunman was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants. Officials released the description in hopes that someone in the community can help identify him.
