Police are asking for the public's help to find three suspects who broke into a home in the Bronx and made off with a large haul of valuables, according to a report by Eyewitness News. The case has prompted a public appeal from investigators searching for those responsible.
The home invasion targeted a 39-year-old woman. According to investigators, the break-in unfolded on Thursday, just after 10 at night.
Investigators say the three suspects assaulted the woman inside the home. During the attack, they removed her clothes, according to police.
The suspects then tied the woman's hands and feet with duct tape, investigators said. She was left restrained as the intruders carried out the robbery.
After subduing the victim, the three stole more than $340,000 worth of jewelry, cash and perfumes, according to police. The value of what was taken made the robbery a particularly costly one.
The woman was taken to an area hospital following the attack. She is recovering in stable condition, according to the report.
