A mother and her son have been arrested and charged after a shooting outside the Bronx Criminal Courthouse, according to Eyewitness News ABC7NY. Police say the 20-year-old son, Chase Lackard, shot at a rival gang member outside the courthouse, while his mother acted as the getaway driver.
Police arrested both the mother and the son at their home this morning, ABC7NY reported. The station said investigators moved on the pair together after tying them to the gunfire outside the courthouse.
Investigators charged both with attempted murder, attempted assault, conspiracy, and criminal possession of a firearm, according to ABC7NY. The station reported that the mother faces the same set of counts as her son over her alleged role in the getaway.
