The fight for justice in the case of a Bronx mother who was stabbed 22 times has hit another delay, with the man accused in the attack, Christopher Joseph, walking out of Bronx Criminal Court a free man, according to News 12.
Joseph is accused of stabbing a former friend 22 times last March.
The victim, a Bronx mother, was left for dead with her child alone in the other room.
She now lives with permanent nerve damage and PTSD as a result of the attack.
Joseph faces charges including attempted murder, attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon, among others.
The trial was supposed to start on the day of the report but was postponed because Joseph's lawyer is on strike. The attorney who stood in for Joseph mentioned a 10-year deal on the table, with five years of parole.
The victim says that offer is not enough, and that she wants Joseph to serve one year for each of the 22 times he stabbed her. Joseph is due back in court on September 16th.
