A young man is fighting for his life after a shooting in the Bronx, Eyewitness News reported. The violence unfolded in the Soundview section of the borough and left the victim with grave injuries.
Police say the shooting happened in the 1700 block of Lafayette Avenue. It is one of the busy residential corridors of Soundview, where the gunfire erupted.
The victim's injuries were severe. According to the report, the 25-year-old man was shot twice in the head, leaving him in a life-threatening condition.
Emergency responders moved quickly to get him medical help. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Investigators are now trying to track down those responsible. Police say two males fled the scene on a scooter after the shooting.
