A visit to a Houston attraction has turned into a legal battle after a Harris County employee was injured at the Children's Museum of Houston, according to Fox 26 Houston. The station reported that on July 26th the man says a gravity chair flipped over, causing him to fall and break his neck.
The next day, Harris County filed a lawsuit against the museum, Fox 26 reported, seeking less than $250,000 to cover medical expenses and lost wages for the employee, who is no longer working.
In the suit, the county says the museum knew about a dangerous condition on the property but failed to fix it or warn visitors, according to Fox 26. The station laid out that allegation as the basis for the county's claim against the museum.
On Monday, the museum said it had not yet been officially served with the lawsuit and would respond once it could review the allegations, Fox 26 reported. The station said it had reached out to the museum as the case got underway.
