The murder trial of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy took an emotional turn on its third day, according to Fox News, as the jury heard the frantic 911 call for the first time.
Clancy's defense argues that postpartum psychosis drove her to kill all three of her children.
When Patrick Clancy found their three children dead in the basement of their home, jurors reportedly heard him shouting on the call that she had killed the kids, while Lindsay sat with her face buried in her hands in court.
She later claimed she had been suffering from postpartum psychosis, saying she heard a man's voice telling her that if she did not do it now, she would lose her chance.
Jurors also saw the exercise bands that prosecutors say Lindsay used to kill her children.
Her defense team laid blame on her doctors for prescribing her as many as 15 different medications, saying one significantly increased her Seroquel and prescribed Valium to help her taper off benzodiazepines.
Patrick Clancy initially told People magazine that he forgave his wife, saying she is not a murderer but is sick. The two have since divorced, and he agreed to testify against her.
Some observers believe his testimony could actually help her defense, noting she was a labor-and-delivery nurse and a mother of three with no history of abuse. Patrick Clancy is expected to return to the stand on Thursday morning.
