The shooting happened around 8 last night at the Hacienda Bonita Apartments on Ella Boulevard. The complex became the scene of an active investigation as deputies responded.
When deputies got there, they found an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound. The victim was lying next to a car in front of the complex.
