Houston police homicide detectives are investigating after an 18-year-old was found shot to death outside a North Houston apartment complex on Saturday night, according to a report by FOX 26. The teen was discovered as officers responded to the scene.
Homicide detectives responded around 8 p.m., according to the report. They were called to the Hacienda Bonita apartments on Ella Boulevard near Kirkendall Road.
The complex is just south of Westfield High School, according to FOX 26. Officers converged on the apartments after the report of the shooting.
Officers arrived to find the teen unresponsive on the ground next to a vehicle, with a gunshot wound, according to the report. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot, according to FOX 26. The account of a lone shot is part of what investigators are examining.
