Houston police were looking for more clues after a man was shot and killed inside a Northwest Houston apartment on Sunday morning, according to FOX 26 Houston. The station carried the killing among its morning headlines as the investigation continued.
Homicide detectives were called just before 1:30 in the morning, according to the report. The overnight call brought investigators to the scene while much of the city was still asleep.
The location was Antoine Drive near Pinemont, at the Oakwood Gardens complex, the station said. Detectives worked the apartment scene as they gathered evidence.
Officers said they found a man in his 60s lying on the ground who had been shot multiple times, according to FOX 26 Houston. No identity for the man who died was provided in the report.
Investigators said they did not have any description of who the shooter may be, the station reported. That left the case without a named or described suspect in its early hours.
Police were asking anyone with information about the shooting to reach out to them, according to the report. Detectives were appealing to the public as one avenue to advance the investigation.
