The dispute involves an 18.9-acre lot on Fieldstone Manor Drive, according to News 12. The broadcaster said the parcel is connected to the Fieldstone Manor rental subdivision, tying the lawsuit directly to the surrounding residential development.
Among the unmet obligations, the town says the developer was supposed to build tennis and basketball courts on the property, News 12 reported. According to the broadcaster, those recreational amenities were never actually built, leaving residents without what had been promised.
One town official summed up Yorktown's frustration with a pointed message to the developer, telling him that the situation is not right for residents and that he knows it, News 12 reported.
