A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly stabbing in the Bronx overnight. Police say 27-year-old Lexus Bullock is facing multiple charges, including murder, in the death of a 31-year-old woman who was killed inside a building on Teller Avenue.

According to investigators, the incident happened inside 1441 Teller Avenue just before 8:30 the previous night. Officers were called to the location after receiving a report that a woman had been stabbed and responded to the scene, where a serious situation was quickly confirmed.

When police arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries. She was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the name of the woman who was killed in the overnight attack.

The circumstances that led to the violence remain unclear. Detectives say it is not yet known what relationship, if any, existed between Bullock and the victim, and the investigation into exactly what happened inside the building is still ongoing.

Bullock has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. She was taken into custody as officers processed the scene at the Bronx address, and she now faces the most serious counts a court can bring.

Police say they are continuing to investigate as they work to establish a motive for the deadly encounter. The case is being handled out of the 44th precinct in the Bronx, where authorities are expected to release more details as the investigation develops.
