A driver is facing several charges after a deadly crash in Dania Beach, Florida, on the Fourth of July that left two people dead. Investigators say Vladimir Mushenko was behind the wheel when the crash happened.
According to investigators, Mushenko was speeding in Dania Beach when he lost control of his car. Police say he then crashed head-on into a Mercedes-Benz.
Mushenko had three passengers in his car at the time of the crash, authorities said. Two of them died as a result of the collision.
There were five people inside the Mercedes-Benz that was struck, according to authorities. All of them were hurt in the crash, but officials say they are expected to be okay.
Mushenko now faces several charges in connection with the crash. Those charges include vehicular homicide, DUI and reckless driving, according to authorities.
