A night out on Long Island ended in violence when a man was stabbed outside a Suffolk County bar, an attack that has left investigators searching for answers. According to News 12, the man was seriously hurt in the stabbing in Selden, and so far no arrests have been made in the case.
Police were summoned to the scene late at night. According to authorities, officers were called to a parking lot on Middle Country Road in Selden just before midnight on Wednesday, responding to a report of a stabbing outside a bar in the area.
When they arrived, officers found the victim in the parking lot of the strip mall. Police say the man, who is 46 years old, was discovered with a stab wound outside the My Place tavern, and was in need of medical attention after the attack.
There was some reassurance about his condition. Police said the man's injuries were serious but not life-threatening, an outcome that offered a measure of relief even as the circumstances of how he came to be stabbed remained unclear.
